Also I think Bluetooth may have caused some weird stutter. I have a lot of wireless devices and there was interference with Bluetooth and it just wasn't as strong of a connection between my PC and the controller. Never buying another MS piece of hardware/controller again.Ĭonnection wise: Adapter is way stronger connection than Bluetooth on S controller. So yeah, TLDR Tried everything to get my xb1 s controller and adapter to work but it just doesn't. Boasting a 100 hour battery life I thought it would be great but I can't get used to the touchpads.Ī damn shame too, the Steam controller works flawlessly wireless, never drops a beat. I had previously bought a steam controller for that purpose, it was cheap $35. I had wanted this controller/adapter because of battery life and wireless connectivity. So I tried to give bluetooth a shot and now bluetooth won't even find the controller, tried to add it manually like the MS site suggested but it's just not listed. Same old shit as last time, can't keep a connection. Then all hell broke loose 2 days into the update.

Honestly for a couple days everything was good for the adapter setup.

So I updated to the creators update to see if things would be different. Only problem was I had to go into the bluetooth settings and re-pair it everytime I turned it on.

I didn't have the creators update yet, but I did manage to get the xb1 s controller working with bluetooth. The only way to get my connection back was to take the adapter out, plug back in and resync. Unplugged anything that had a wireless connection. I turned off everything wifi in the house, including the router, constant drops. The controller will constantly drop connection. I've tried the adapter plugged in it's own usb 3.0 hub, (the front of the PC case), I've tried the back of the computer, 2.0 and 3.0, nothing changes. (The first thing I did was update the firmware on the controller via the accessories app, fyi) My computer is less than 3 feet to the side of me. I bought a new XB1 S controller and the adapter a couple weeks ago. I'll never buy another Microsoft accessory because of it.
